Tool and Die Maker

This is a full-time opening for a Certified Tool and Die Maker based at our Woodbridge office. The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 / hour.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and standing for extended periods
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications, and program CNC machine tools
- Compute dimensions and tolerances
- Set up machine tools and verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Machine , fit and assemble castings and other parts to make metal molds, cores boxes and precision models of required shape
Layout, shape and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic and other materials from blueprints, models or templates- Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
- Inspect and test final products
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
Qualifications:
- Approved Certification of Qualification in Tool and Die
- Minimum 3 to a maximum of 5 years of experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent oral communication with accurate, flexible, and effective interpersonal skills
- Team player and organized
- Experience with equipment and machinery such as lathe
- Experience with metal mold-making such as blow and compression molds
- Experience with metal patternmaking
- Experience with repetitive machining operation such as milling
- Tool and die fabrication experience with gauges or instruments, jigs
and fixtures, metal cutting, forming or bending dies, and extrusion dies - Flexible with working overtime
- Bonus: Experience in working with SolidWorks software
